Work Out

Good rest ensures that the muscles can relax a bit and can recover in time for your workout the next day. At least six to eight hours of sleep is mandatory for all people.This also keeps the mind brisk and fresh the next day. After every work out in the gym, to ensure that you have reduced pain the next day, you can get yourself some massages.

Massages are very relaxing and relax the tense muscles. The gentle pressure soothes the pain. Massages are of various types. One massage is a prevent massage where the athlete gets his massage before a big event so that any small niggle he might be having can be set right. The post event massage is given once the event is over in order to avoid cramping and muscle pulls. 

Apart from massages, stretching a strained muscle also helps in relieving the pain to a certain extent. Stretching also brings in flexibility and suppleness to the muscle and the body. Stretching and massage are an essential need for people whom workout every day. This need not be done on a daily basis but on alternate days or weekly basis. An ice bath is also something that will help body builders in retaining the stiffness of their muscles and relieving the pain also.
