Gain Weight

Most people don’t know when is the right age to hit the gym. Most of them do it before it is needed. This is due to over enthusiasm to get a rock solid body. You need to bulk up your muscles only after your bones stop growing.

Bone development is more important than muscle development. Hence it would be advisable not to hit the gym at a growing age. Lifting heavy weight at a growing age can cause stunting of growth. This means that to support the body in lifting the weights, the bones start growing thicker than longer.

This acts as a curb on the height of a person. Weight lifting causes muscle and tissue damage. This is generally not advisable at a growing age. Besides, exposure to steroids at a very young age is highly dangerous. When a kid is below eighteen, he is not yet mentallynmatured and may opt for a wrong solution in the form of steroids.

This could be potentiallyndangerous to both his life and career. Steroids can lead to heart failure and impotence. Consistency is very important when it comes to weight lifting. A person below eighteen may not be mentally prepared to the hard work of the gym and he might end up discontinuing the gym. This can lead to weight gain.
