Tense Muscles

Rest is a universal law for everyone. Good rest is what keeps you going every day.Regardless of bodybuilding or jogging or core strengthening, it is vital that one takes good rest at the end of the day. Rest ensures that all the damaged tissues get properly repairedand replaced.

Good rest ensures that the muscles can relax a bit and can recover in time foryour workout the next day. At least six to eight hours of sleep is mandatory for all people. This also keeps the mind brisk and fresh the next day. After every work out in the gym, toensure that you have reduced pain the next day, you can get yourself some massages.

Massages are very relaxing and relax the tense muscles. The gentle pressure soothes thepain. Massages are of various types. One massage is a prevent massage where the athletegets his massage before a big event so that any small niggle he might be having can be setright. The post event massage is given once the event is over in order to avoid crampingand muscle pulls.

Apart from massages, stretching a strained muscle also helps in relievingthe pain to a certain extent. Stretching also brings in flexibility and suppleness to themuscle and the body. Stretching and massage are an essential need for people whomworkout every day. This need not be done on a daily basis but on alternate days or weeklybasis. An ice bath is also something that will help body builders in retaining the stiffness oftheir muscles and relieving the pain also.
